Happy Educators Week
===

[00:00:00] Hey friends, happy Thursday. We are doing something a little bit different this week. it is teacher appreciation week and it's a huge shout out to the many hundreds, probably thousands of educators who are definitely in my life and in my circle and in my world. And what I want you to do this week, instead of Spending 30 or 40 minutes listening to this beautiful podcast, which I very much appreciate.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I want you to email your favorite teacher or send a note to a teacher and just let them know you appreciate them or give yourself a pat on the back. And I think it's really important to [00:01:00] create this space where we acknowledge the humans Still in the fight, the education fight, and we know education has shifted a lot.

We know there's a lot going on with these oppressive systems and we know that educators and professional education staff continue just to show up and take care of our most precious assets. So huge shout out to educators. I want to be clear and I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. My list. is extremely long, of who I'm very thankful for.

So I'm gonna give you just a couple, that we haven't really talked about. First, I'm gonna just acknowledge my army bestie. She listens to these every week. You know who you are. And she is in the educational field. She's got a [00:02:00] wonderful spirit for taking care of really tough kids and changing systems in a small town in Wyoming.

So. Army bestie, you know, I love you and I appreciate you deeply, deeply, deeply, deeply. Thank you so much for being the educator that you are and continuing to show up. The next person that I want to just give a shout out to is my daughter's coaches and my, well, my daughter's cheerleading coach and my kids, my daughter and my son's track coaches, all of whom are educators.

So I want to be clear, they all are educators and they continue to show up and make these dreams come true for these kids who do sports. And it's a massive amount of time. time, energy, emotional capacity of holding space for all these kids, in their [00:03:00] extracurriculars. And you lovely educators who give your time, you just doing it.

Like it's, you bring so much joy to these kids and without you, these kids would not have these experiences. So yes, you do your jobs and you go above and beyond and you do things like coaching. So friends, there are so many of you who. Listen to this podcast, who are part of my life that are in the educational field.

And my life is a hundred percent changed because of how you touch it every single day. So thank you for showing up. Thank you for giving, gifting us your gifts in this world. And just know that we see you, we love you. We deeply appreciate you. And I continue to be very, very grateful that you continue to choose education.

So please. Friends, drop a comment, tag somebody today, uh, make [00:04:00] sure you give them a personal voice note or a handwritten note or a text message or an email or a phone call that just says thank you for being an educator. We cannot, we're not here without you. The world does not exist without educators.

Love you. Happy Education Week. We appreciate you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
